NHAI plans to construct an Elevated Highway in the NH-66 Edappally-Aroor bypass section to mitigate traffic congestion in that sector. Sources state that this project will be materialized once the Loksabha polls are completed as the DPR of this project is already nearing its completion. Soon after polls, NHAI will make a key decision on this project and it will be targeted to be completed by the end of 2025.
