NHAI is looking to partially open the 42-kilometer stretch of the Mumbai – Goa Highway before the eve of the Ganesh festival. This would be a huge relief to the people of the Konkan region who are looking to travel to their hometowns to celebrate the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. This 42-kilometer one-sided lane from Panvel to Kasu falls in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The laying of the cemented road is underway said by NHAI official.
