₹964 Crore sanctioned by Centre for Six Lane Highway in Vizag

The central government has sanctioned Rs.964 crores rupees for the infrastructure development in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways officially announced the sanction of the above amount in the MoRTH official X account on 2nd January 2025. This six-lane highway will act as link between NH-16 at Anakapalli & Anandapuram and NH-516C at Sheelanagar Junction.

The length of the highway is proposed to be 12.66 km and will begin at Sabbavaram village and end at GAIL office, Sheelanagar. Once this work materialized and is completed, this will eliminate the traffic hassles and cargo movement towards the port area.
